My March Review and April Goals

My March Review, Income Report & April Goals

Last week’s post My March Highlights looked at the wonderful stuff I got up to during the month. This week I am looking at how I did with my money making goals for March. This is also the time to set my goals for April. Here goes.

March Review and April Goals

My Goals for March & The Results

#1 To Write One Short Story
Yes

#2 To Publish One Short Story
Yes, I published Josephine Falls in Love

#3 To Create a Second Box Set for My Short Stories
Yes – The Love Series – Volume 2 – in the picture above :)

#4 To Publish 1 Post Per Week for This Blog
I only missed one week but I was on holiday and didn’t want to do any work. Here are the posts for March:

#5 To Add 100 New Subscribers to My Author List
Yes – I also signed up for a free account with Mailerlite. It has a really easy to use format. You can add up to 1,000 subscribers for free and if I upgrade, it works out cheaper than Aweber. I will see how things go.

#6 To Increase My Kindle Book Earnings by 100%
Yes – I was happy with the steady increase in profits. If you want to know exactly how much I earned, Enter Your Email Details Below to sign up to my newsletter and access to My Monthly Earnings Report :)

My Thoughts

I was happy with the income I made from my short stories but I wasn’t able to offer the discount that I wanted to. I think this would have increased my earnings even more.
This month I will be offering one of my box sets at a discount price. Let’s hope readers will grab it.

Goals for April

#1 To Write One Short Story
#2 To Publish Two Short Stories
#3 To Work on My 5 Day Challenge Workshop
#4 To Publish 1 Post Per Week for This Blog
#5 To Add 100 New Subscribers to My Author List
#6 To Increase My Kindle Book Earnings by 100%

My Plans for April

I am taking part in a Romance Books Free Giveaway Promo, which should increase my subscriber list.

I will be using the same 4-part email sequence that I used for March. I will measure to see if this is effective.

I have also signed up for a Discount book promo for the end of the month, where I am offering one of my box-sets for 99p / 99 cents, which should help increase sales.

I purchased Tiffany Lambert’s How to Host a Challenge Course and will work through this to create my own challenge. I have a couple of ideas and hope to have this completed by the end of the month. I will also write up a review for this course at some point.

That’s what I have planned for April. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)

In last week’s post, My February Highlights, I looked back and highlighted all the great things that occured during the month.  This week I am reviewing the goals I set myself for February and the results. My Thoughts

This is why it is such a good idea to review your goals and write down your results. During the month it felt like I wasn’t really getting much done. But now looking back, I achieved quite a bit for my fiction writing business. I am very pleased that I have kept up the momentum of writing and publishing my posts here as well as publishing my short stories on Amazon.

My subscriber list for my pen name is slowly building up. I got a couple of really nice email responses too, which was a surprise. I was also able to gain more Amazon reviews for my short story too, which was great.

My Kindle Book Earnings
My aim is to earn a full-time income from my books by the end of this year. I set a monetary goal for February – not too high – and I surpassed that, which was brilliant. I have a new monetary target for March and hope to be able to achieve that too.

Goals for March

#1 To Write One Short Story

#2 To Publish One Short Story

#3 To Create a Second Box Set for My Short Stories

#4 To Publish 1 Post Per Week for This Blog

#5 To Add 100 New Subscribers to My Author List

#6 To Increase My Kindle Book Earnings by 100%

My Plans for March

I currently have two permafree books on offer. Last month I ran a promotion with one and gained quite a few new subscribers. This month I will be running another promotion using the other free short story.

I have a 4-part email sequence that needs to be tweaked so that I get better engagement and responses from subscribers. I also want to figure out how to automate it properly so that I don’t have to spend much time on it.

It was great to get a new story published in February and see someone make a purchase almost as soon as it went live. Very exciting. Now I need to get busy and get the next story up on Amazon.

There is lots to do in March and I want it work hard to ensure that my results are even better than they were for February. Wish me luck :)

My January Review & February Goals

Here is an update of the goals I set myself for January and the results. I know that my goals for January were very ambitious for the first month of the year but because I didn’t know what to expect, I thought I would aim high.

My Thoughts

My results might not have been as spectacular as I would have hoped but the good news is that I did make some progress. The major benefit of setting these benchmarks means that I now have a better understanding of the amount of time and effort that is needed in order to get things done. I am now able to alter and amend my expectations when I set my goals for February.

My Kindle Book Earnings

For the month of January, I set a simple goal of earning $2,00 from my Audra Bell books. I am happy to report that I earned a little more than that and I earned some change from the other books that I published under my own name. I look forward to seeing that increase month by month.

Goals for February

#1 – To Add 100 New Subscribers to My Author Email List

#2 – To Publish 1 Post Per Week on This Blog

#3 – To Publish 2 New Posts on My Author Blog

#4 – To Publish Two New Short Stories on Amazon

#5 – To Write and Complete a New Short Story

#6 – To Increase My Kindle Book Earnings by 100%

I will be running a free book promo for my short story where I hope to gain new subscribers. It is already set up and without any promotion, I have about 20 new names on my list. I will write a blog post review about the service once the promotion has been and gone.

I am excited about getting a couple of new stories published this month. All the bits and pieces are there, I just have to write the blurbs, order the book covers and upload everything to the Amazon website.

I am looking forward to a productive and progressive February. Wish me luck :)
