My Easy Sketch Pro Review
Easy Sketch Pro came onto the market a few months ago. I really wanted to buy it but I didn’t know what I would use it for. I was a very good girl and I stopped myself. Fast forward a few months. I decided to challenge myself with a 30 day video and blogging challenge and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use this product.
I could create short, informative videos to go with my blog posts. Check out today’s short and informative video- I wonder what it could be about 😉
Hello Easy Sketch Pro!
As soon as I purchased the product I got busy making my first video. Here is my first attempt at using the software.
3 Reasons Why You Should Buy Easy Sketch Pro
Here are 3 simple reasons why you might like to consider investing in Easy Sketch Pro.
#1 – It’s Easy to Use
Once you have downloaded the software, you will notice that the icons are similar to those that you find on Word or Open Office. The best thing is to look at what each button does and play around with it.
In the download area, there is a user guide. This really helps you with the basic set up and use. Though I think you only really get to know it when you try things out for yourself.
I know that there are still things that I haven’t done yet and I look forward to doing that, like adding a voice-over, adding more images, using the scan and focus feature more.
#2 – It Lets You Write & Draw
As you can see from the videos, there are several artistic options to choose from. You can use a hand to draw and write your content. You can have images fade into view. You can have pictures and logos zoom in from the sides or drop from above or pop up from below.
Again, you just need to experiment with the different combinations. You will also want to vary the speed levels that things occur. 2 or 3 seconds doesn’t sound like a lot but when you are watching a hand write something, it can feel like an eternity. Click in and you can shorten the time delays without any problems – or extend them if you are drawing something epic.
#3 – It is Suitable for All Niches
Because you can use this software to present information in a different format, it is suitable for all niches. You can write out an article, take the subheadings and create a Sketch video from that. Or do it the other way round. Write out subheadings, create your video then write out the blog post or articles. That’s how I do it. It makes these blog posts so much quicker to write too. 🙂
A Tip When Using Easy Sketch Pro
Create Simple Templates
If you watch the videos I have made, you will notice that I came up with a simple template. This has helped me focus on the type of videos I wanted to make. In general these videos include
- A title page
- A one sentence statement about the video
- 3 bullet points
- A CTA (call to action)
- Closing Credits
Now that I have set up this template, I can just go in, edit each page to make it appropriate for the topic I am writing about. No fuss at all.
What I Like About Easy Sketch Pro
It is Quite Easy To Use
This is the perfect tool for anyone who isn’t particularly creative. That would be me 🙂
You can figure out a short script, add your bullet points and upload images that would go with those sentences. The software comes with a wide selection of images but you can also use your own. You will notice that I added my photo at the end of my videos.
You Can Say a Lot in A Minute
My videos are around the 60 – 90 second mark. I felt that that was long enough to convey what I wanted to say. Longer explanations are left for the blog posts. These videos are on YouTube and I intend to add them to other video channels for further reach. I hope this will help to bring more traffic to my site.
What I Don’t Like About Easy Sketch Pro
There is No Sentence Wrap Option
Each sentence you write will show up as one long line. It can be a little annoying having to break up your sentences into short strips so that the text is big enough for the screen.
I suppose the one advantage is that this forces you to keep your sentences short and sweet. No time or space for fluff 🙂
There is No Title Thingy
I don’t like that when you save a project, the name doesn’t show up in the title above. I start off each project with a template and having the name of the project at the top will ensure that I don’t accidentally save over previous projects, which has happened.
There Isn’t a Black Hand Dragging Option
There are different ways that you can present texts and pictures in your sketch-board videos. You can have stuff fade in, you can have words zoom in from left, right, above and below. You can use a hand drawing stuff and you can use a hand dragging things into view.
Now, I was very happy to see that there were options for hand colour. I am black so I wanted something that reflected me. Great. But there is no dragging option.
Guess what – I got in contact with the creator, Paul Lynch. Amazingly, he got back to me in less than 24 hours to let me know that new hand options would be added to the product within the next couple of weeks!
Talk about Great Customer Service. Thanks Paul 🙂
