Looking Back and Looking Forward are great ways to evaluate and assess what you are doing. It helps to ensure that you are not standing still and that you are making changes that will hopefully lead to positive results.
I am going to start writing up a Review & Reflection type post each month so that I can share my journey with you here. I hope that this will help to inspire and spur me on and give others a little motivational push to get things done. Right, let’s jump in with a short video and then a review of July and my plans for August.
Highlights in July
I Got My CELTA Qualification
I received my letter which formally confirmed that I had passed my teacher training course. This means that I am qualified to teach English as a foreign language.
I couldn’t help but toot my own horn so I shared the news and this image on my Facebook page.
I received a lot of love and congratulations, which really made my day. Thanks guys.

I Added More Content To My Article Selling Website
I was able to write more content and make some more sales from my store, The PLR Boutique. It is a fantastic feeling when you create something and people are actually willing to hand over their hard earned cash. I also got some emails, with people complimenting me on the quality. This certainly helps to motivate me to work more on this revenue stream.
I Went To The Theatre – Shakespeare in Love
I got to watch a preview performance of the stage version of Shakespeare in Love. It was great.
The acting was fab, the set was glorious and our seats were superb. The main actors were excellent but a couple of the supporting members really caught my eye. Namely Mr Doug Rao and Mr Colin Ryan.
If you happen to be in London, grab a ticket for this show.
My Income Report for July 2014
In the video, I mention that I am striving to earn $1,000 for the month of December. I have broken down this goal into chunks that increase each month. July’s target was to earn $200. Let’s take a look at how I did.
- Earnings from The PLR Boutique = $67.50
- Earnings from Recommending Other PLR & Products = $83.47
- Earnings from Amazon Affiliate Programme = $86.41
- Earnings from Amazon Kindle Book Sales = $20.00
- Miscellaneous Earnings– from an old affiliate programme I forgot about = $7.98
Total Earnings for July 2014 = $265.36
I am very happy with this result. I aimed for $200 and got $65 more.
I didn’t add any more books and the majority of the commission earned from Amazon came from old blog posts on a couple of blogs I have as well as articles written for Squidoo and Hubpages.
I want to increase my earnings from my own content site, The PLR Boutique, so that means I need to write more articles.
Things I Will Do in August
Here are a couple of items on the agenda for this month.
#1 – For The Month of August I Will Earn $330
As I mentioned in the video, the aim is to get to $1,000 for the month of December. This month the target is $330. I hope to earn this through a combination of selling PLR articles from my store, through affiliate marketing – recommending PLR content from other sellers, selling Kindle books and earning commissions from Amazon.
#2 – I Will Add 20 Articles to The PLR Boutique
I am trying to build up the amount of content I have for sale on my website. I want to do this on a consistent basis because I know that I can make better sales that way. I am going to try and add 20 new articles. This could be 2 packs of 10 articles or 4 packs of 5 articles. It will depend on the topics I choose. I will also put out a couple of special offers so that people can get these articles at a discount if they buy early.
#3 – I Will Create an Info Product
Now, I have quite a bit of PLR content sitting on my computer. It is time to use some of it to create a product that I can sell. I have a couple of ideas brewing but I need to stop thinking about it and just take action. This will be my first product so the price will most likely be around $7.
Time for Some Accountability
Do you have PLR content that is just waiting to be used? Do you think you could make a product worth $7 from some of it? Would you like to join me on an accountability journey, where we motivate each other to get things done? If this is something that sounds of interest, let me know. Add a comment below or send me an email.
August has to end with me being able to say “I GOT IT DONE!” so who’s with me?
