Jasmine’s hair was beautiful. She had always been proud of how healthy, strong and long It could grow.
Today was a very special day for Jasmine. She had been looking forward to it for months. Her mother had been worried.
She thought that it was a phase and that Jasmine would forget about the promise she made.
But Jasmine was resolute. She looked at the calendar.
“Mummy, today is the day the hairdresser is cutting my hair to make a beautiful wig for a little girl. I am so excited.”
Mum wiped away a tear. “Me too, honey. Me too.”
