She hesitated, torn between excitement and nerves. Would she regret letting this chance slip away? As he walked out of view, she made her decision. She rushed outside and jogged across the road, narrowly dodging a big red bus. Her heart pounded as she called out, “Tom!”
He turned, looking confused at first. Then, a second later, he smiled. Relief washed over Odessa—she had made the right choice. This moment was worth it.
