Thalia was getting impatient and annoyed. She’d planned a cheap and cheerful weekend—sun, beach, and cocktails served by gorgeous waiters.
At the moment, she wasn’t looking forward to her trip at all.
She’d booked a no-frills flight, only to realise too late there’d be no transport to her hotel. Frustrated, she bought an earlier ticket.
Then disaster struck—her passport would expire before the trip. Fast-tracking the renewal meant spending even more.
What started as a budget getaway was quickly becoming an expensive ordeal. Each setback drained her excitement and her wallet.
Her “cheap and cheerful” holiday was anything but.
