Willow – A Flash Fiction Story

Willow was cool, calm, and collected. She had received her assignment and had made all the necessary arrangements. The target was due at the restaurant in a few minutes. Willow didn’t know why the target had to be neutralised.

It was none of her business. She was given her orders and carried them out, no questions asked.

Willow watched as two men arrived and were seated. She watched as they placed their orders. She waited for the right moment. She was alert. She jogged across the road, entered the restaurant, and followed the target into the men’s bathroom.
The man turned. He was surprised.

“Willow?”

The man looked down and saw the knife. It was too late.
