Kelsey made sure she went to bed early because she had an important appointment the following morning.
It had been months since she had had to set her alarm. It had been months since she had gotten out of bed before noon. But this appointment was special.
She was nervous about it but also excited. The results could mean that a huge load of pressure would be taken off her shoulders. She would be able to breathe, to relax, to live again.
She fell asleep quite quickly, and before she knew it, light was streaming through her window.
She checked her clock. She had half an hour before the alarm would go off. She lay back and sighed.
