Parker – A Flash Fiction Story

Parker was over the moon. She’d just ordered a brand-new Mac. It cost a fortune, but she knew it was worth it.

At the Apple Store, an employee greeted her warmly and took her details.

“I’ll be right back,” he said, disappearing into the back. Moments later, he returned, holding a sleek white bag like a precious gift.

“Here’s your purchase.”

Parker grinned as she took it.

“Thank you for shopping with us.”

No, thank you, Parker thought, nearly skipping out of the shop, her new prized possession clutched tightly in her hands, excitement bubbling within her.
