Tanya looked up at the sky. The sun blazed, and fluffy white clouds drifted like cotton candy. It was a beautiful day, and she was happy to be out enjoying it.
Being a freelancer had its perks—she worked when she wanted and took breaks whenever. The weather was too lovely to stay cooped up, so she strolled through the park, enjoying the fresh air.
She noticed a woman staring at her, expression dark. Did they know each other?
Tanya continued along the path, getting closer to the woman. She smiled. The woman didn’t smile back.
Instead, as Tanya passed, the woman screeched,
“Witch!”
