Zuria – A Flash Fiction Story

Zuria had learnt young never to depend on anyone. Orphaned as an infant, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, but their own children always came first. She longed for the day she could leave.

Determined, she saved every penny, took part-time jobs, and planned her escape. She would work on cruise ships, earn enough, and finally buy her own home—a place where she could be truly free. Independence wasn’t just a goal; it was survival.

With her bags packed and future mapped out, she stepped forward. No one would ever come before her dreams again.
