Kristina hated dressing up. She wasn’t built to wear fancy dresses and high-heeled shoes. She abhorred make-up at the best of times.
But she knew she couldn’t get out of dressing up for today’s special occasion.
Her younger sister was getting married. Now she was a woman who loved the drama and fantasy of a beautiful makeover.
She loved the satins and silks, the ruffles, the flounces, the designer shoes, and the perfect hairdos. And today she looked stunning. And she was so happy.
Kristina looked at herself in the mirror. She hardly recognised her reflection. But she loved her sister, so compliance was acceptable, for today.
