Xara – A Flash Fiction Story

Xara woke up and pulled back the curtains. She wanted to know what sort of day to expect.

She glanced out the window and had to do a double take. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Snow was falling. It was properly snowing. It was a shock. She wasn’t prepared for snow.

She stared outside as the snow flurries fluttered down to the ground, covering the garden in a thin sheet of white.

“Agh!” She thought. She had to go out in that weather. She wasn’t ready for that.

Xara threw herself back on the bed and pulled the covers up over her head.
