Booker – A Flash Fiction Story

Booker watched as his dog ran into the pile of leaves. He had followed a bird, which had led him to frolic with wild abandon. Booker smiled.

He wished he could be as free as that dog. But he had to stay calm, sensible, and on guard at all times.

He was never allowed to let loose and do anything that was unbecoming of a man of his position and status. Sometimes he hated being the son of someone so important.

He wished he had his freedom. He wished he could be free like his dog.
