Walter – A Flash Fiction Story

Walter was known to be rigid. He liked to abide by the rules. If he saw a No Entry sign, he would find another way to his destination.

He would always stand on the right side of the escalator, allowing people to walk down the left-hand side. A polite, young man, he always held the door open whenever he saw an elderly person or a woman with a pram.
But today was different.

Today, Walter felt rage and anger. He had just been told that he was surplus to requirements. Nothing he had done. It was just the way things were.

Walter decided to revolt.
