Xavier knew what was expected of him. Being from a very important family, he had been in the public eye since birth.
He knew that he had to be on his best behaviour at all times. There was always someone watching, waiting to reveal a scandal so that the reputation of his parents could be sullied.
Xavier grew tired of the constant attention. He just wanted to be alone, to do nothing but sleep, eat, drink and read. But he knew he had a duty to perform.
He loved his parents and didn’t want to let them down. So he put on the clothes, fixed his face and walked out onto the balcony.
