Holly sat on the bench and looked at the clock. Her train was due in 2 minutes.
She glanced over her shoulder at the coffee shop. She wondered if she had enough time to buy a cappuccino. She knew she shouldn’t really. It was the end of her first week on the diet. She was trying to be good.
She wasn’t allowed to have the rich, sugary hot drink that she craved. She could have a coffee, black with no sugar, but where was the fun in that? She might as well drink water or have nothing.
She heard her train pulling into the station. Too late for a coffee.
She had managed to resist temptation.
For now.
