Lennon stood at the side of the stage. He couldn’t see the crowd, but he could certainly hear them. There was a loud hum of grumbling chatter.
He could sense that people were excited. People were impatient. It had been a few months since he had taken to the stage. He knew his audience adored him, and he adored them too.
But he was always nervous at this point. He always felt like running away, but he knew he wouldn’t. He had a job to do.
He was here to entertain his fans, and he was ready.
Lennon took a deep breath and stepped out to the roar of the crowd.
