Yulia – A Flash Fiction Story

Yulia couldn’t take her eyes off the gentleman who had just walked into the shop. He was tall. He had skin the colour of luxurious dark chocolate, and his eyes—they were sparkling.

He was looking around, smiling at the items in the display case.

Yulia watched as he approached her colleague. She saw that his smile had the disarming effect of rendering the sales assistant mute.

The gentleman waited patiently for the answer to the question he had just asked. Yulia noticed that her colleague was pointing him in her direction.

She stood up, slightly taller, and watched him slowly move towards her.
