Diedra had been happy in her relationship. She had been comfortable. They had been together for so long, her daily routine had been ingrained in her memory.
But suddenly, without warning, everything had changed. He said he didn’t love her. He said he wasn’t sure he had ever loved her. He had just been swept up in the moment.
12 years. It took him 12 years to decide she wasn’t enough for him. But they were the perfect couple, the couple their friends had envied.
Diedra sat at the kitchen table. She’d been there since he had told her he was leaving. What now, she thought.
